About Us

A Practice Built on Connection

We believe dentistry works best when it's personal. This practice began with a simple idea: people deserve more than assembly-line care. Dr. Miely built something slower, steadier, and more personal – a place where trust is earned over time and patients often become lifelong friends. That means listening closely, treating with intention, and staying current so you get advanced and deeply human care.

Upper Arlington has grown, families have changed, but this idea still holds.

About Us

A Practice Built on Connection

Meet Dr. Mark A. Miely

A Lifelong Learner

Dr. Miely studied at Wittenberg University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University. But his education didn’t stop there. He completes 50–100 hours of continuing education yearly (well beyond what’s required), so you always receive the most current, thoughtful care.

Focused on Calm Care

He’s certified in moderate sedation, which means you can receive more treatment in fewer visits, with less anxiety. This is part of his ongoing commitment to making dental care easier and more accessible for every patient who walks through the door.

Rooted in the Community

Dr. Miely has served Upper Arlington for decades, not just as a dentist, but as a neighbor and friend. His practice reflects the values he lives by: trust, consistency, and a deep respect for people in the community and their stories.

Life Outside the Office

As an athlete at heart, Dr. Miely spends his free time swimming, biking, golfing, and training for sprint triathlons. He’s also a devoted husband to his wife, Molly, and a proud dad to three grown children: Sara, Jayne, and Matthew.

Meet The Team

We’re a tight-knit group with one shared goal: to make your care easy, comfortable, and enjoyable (and your smile gorgeous, of course).

Sam

Hygienist

Sam came to Columbus for school and stayed for the people. She’s been with the practice since graduation, drawn to the chance to build long-term relationships with patients.

She’s calm, smart, and a natural encourager. Getting to build relationships with patients and seeing them improve their oral health has been very rewarding for her!

Outside work, she loves cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, Richie.

Her patients know her for her warmth and sense of humor. Sara chose dentistry for her passion to serve her community and help people feel their best selves in the process.

After hours, she’s likely hiking, checking out live music, or hanging with her pitbull, Humphrey, and boyfriend, Kyle.
