Breathe Easier In The Chair
If just thinking about the dentist makes your chest tighten, we understand.
Past experiences can leave a mark, and for many, the dental chair feels more like a battleground than a place of care. You want to take care of yourself – but not at the cost of panic or discomfort.
Sedation dentistry helps quiet the nerves, soften the edges, and make room for the care you’ve been avoiding. Whether it’s been years since your last visit or you’re just dreading a specific procedure, we’ll meet you with compassion and help you through it.
What Is Sedation Dentistry?
Sedation dentistry uses medication to help you relax physically and emotionally during dental treatment. It’s especially helpful if you:
- Experience dental anxiety or phobia
- Have a strong gag reflex or high sensitivity
- Need extensive or complex dental work
- Struggle to stay still or feel sore during long procedures
We offer three levels of sedation so your care can be tailored to your needs, not the other way around.
How Sedation Dentistry Works
We’ll guide you through every step, beginning with a conversation about your goals and comfort level. Here are the options we offer:
- Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas):
Inhaled through a small mask, this light sedation takes effect quickly and wears off just as fast – perfect if you want to drive yourself home after your appointment. - Oral Sedation:
A pill taken before your visit helps you stay relaxed and present, but deeply calm. You’ll remain awake, but feel time pass quickly. Most patients bring someone to drive them home after. - IV Sedation:
For patients who need deeper relaxation, IV sedation provides a dreamlike state during treatment. You’ll need a trusted driver and a clear schedule for the rest of the day.

That depends on the level of sedation. With nitrous oxide and oral sedation, you’ll remain awake but deeply relaxed. IV sedation may allow you to drift into a light sleep or feel like you’re dreaming.
Nitrous oxide wears off within minutes. Oral and IV sedation take longer – you’ll need someone to drive you home and should plan to rest for the remainder of the day.
Absolutely. Sedation can be paired with most treatments, including cosmetic services, to help you feel calm and at ease.
